The Primary role of the Northern Praying Mantis Martial Art Institute is to promote Chinese culture, to share knowledge and to train and develop students physically and mentally as to improve their everyday lives.Any person who is willing to learn and abide by the school rules may join.

Praying Mantis Kung Fu is known for its speed, agility and flexibility.It uses both long and short range,grabbing, trapping and take down techniques.Practicing this style improves speed , agility, coordination, timing, strength, mental focus, the list goes on how ever training in this style also develops effective methods of self defense.

The school offers a wide range of traditional Chinese weapons training from Staff, Sabre, 3-section staff, Tiger hooks, Gwan dao, Sword, Ja ma dao and many others, contact the Instructor for a full list of whats available.Courses are open to other martial artists that wish to learn a Chinese weapon set without learning the whole syllabus.

Other activities available through the school are varied and wide spread including Chinese Lion dancing plus social meets and events to bring together students with members from other schools.
